Weekly plan
You will receive a weekly plan with a menu for the week and an overview of trips to open kindergartens and other excursions.But a lot happens spontaneously based on the childrengroup's needs and mood. There will also be photos on the website with your own password so that no one but you has access to them.

Meals

The children get breakfast when they arrive before 9.00.
At 9:00 we eat some fruit.
At 11.00 they will be served bread or crackers with different types of toppings. Here I strive to make the kids choose what they want on the bread and challenge them eventually to say what they want.

About 14.00 we eat home cooked hot food.
The hot food is made from scratch. All food and beverages are of course completely free of sugar. If the kids have allergies I take this into account. The menu comes on weekday the week before, I have a regular porridgeday and a day for fishmeals.

At 16:00 we eat some fruit.

AUGUST: Closed all august.
SEPTEMBER: Closed monday 30.th of september.

OKTOBER: Autumnholiday in week 40 (t.o.m. friday 4.th of october) The first day after holiday is monday the 7.th of october.
NOVEMBER: ---
DECEMBER: XMASHOLIDAY f.o.m. friday 20. december. Last day before xmas is thursday 19. december.

SPRING 2025

JANUARY: First day after xmas holiday is monday 6.st of january. 
FEBRUARY: WINTERHOLIDAY f.o.m. monday 17.th of february t.o.m. friday 21.th of february.

MAY: Closed tuesday 1.st of may (labourday), thursday 29.th of  may (Kristi himmelfarts dag) and friday 30.th of may.

Equipment List

·       Dummy, teddy, blankie or other stuff the child holds dearly.

·        The children must bring slippers or non-slip socks/shoes for inside playing.

·        Outdoor dress, shoes / boots by weather conditions, rainwear and mittens, hat, neck.

·        Wool / Fleece for cold days.

The child must also have sufficient amount of clothes here, for at least two shifts. The shift is in the child's basket inside the bathroom. Rainwear and boots should always be here when the child is here.
 

Labeling clothes

All belongings must be marked with the child's name! I have no responsibility for the clothes and other stuff that is brought here.

Naptime

The children who need to sleep in the day will get their own wagon, blanket and/or sleepingbag here.  On cold days, it is good to have your own hat / mittens for sleeping as the outdoorsclothing can easily get dirty and wet when playing outside before sleeping. The children can sleep inside or outside. Talk to me if you are in doubt about what's best for your child.
 

Payment

Payment must be made by account 3000 41 58012 within the 1st of each month. I do not accept children i july, that is vacation.

 

I am registered as a nanny in the kommune, which means that you do not lose kontantstøtte when you use me. As I do not receive support from kommunen as a kindergarten like the family-kindergartens do, I calculate the price  based on kontantstøtte (which one loses anyway by having the child in kindergarten) and maximum price for kindergarten. Kontantstøtten is 7500,- and maximum price for Kindergarten aprox. 3000,- plus extra cost for food. (From 1 August, the maximum price in a nursery is NOK 2,000, but I still have to keep the same price as everything from electricity, nappies and food has become so much more expensive.)
Here you wont  have to think about having diapers, ointments, wipes, food and drinks. 

The monthly price is paid in advance each month. It's 13,000 NOK for full-time and includes everything the child needs of diapers, ointments, food and drinks, bus-tickets to open daycare etc.. 
The child can not begin before payment is in place.

Habituation

In the first few days, it's important that mom or dad or another person the child is comfortable with is present and that the days are not too long. I look at each and every child and their needs and can call you to ask you to pick up earlier in the start if this is the best of the child. Some days it might feel difficult to leave the child, but do call at any time to know how your child is doing.

Day 1: The first day should be viewed as a short visit day where the parents are with the child the whole time about two hours. The adults get time to talk together and the child gets to know me and the kids and rooms, toys and equipment.

Day 2: Expand this day to approx. three hours. Mother or father may leave for a short period of time. It is important that the parents are within reach so that I can call if the child becomes uneasy.

Day 3: Extend the time further to approx. five hours. Try to leave the child alone for a while, or let the child sleep here. Its important that the parents are within reach so I can call if the child becomes uneasy.

Day 4 and 5: Let the child have short days (about 6 hours), there's a lot of New things to relate to and it is important to be able to manage all impressions. It often gets easier if the child has a good rest.

 

The first painful goodbye

Do not show uncertainty
Tell the child that you are leaving— and leave when you've said you're going to. If you show uncertainty, the child becomes insecure and adjusting to my place can take a longer time. It is important that the child experiences that the parents doesnt go before they tell them so - and that they will come back after a while.
 

Dont sneak out
Do not be tempted to sneak out without the child noticing it. It might make the child unsafe.The child should learn that parents leave and return. It creates predictability for the child.

What if the child cries?
If you leave a child crying and clinging to you, it's not unnatural to feel like a bad parent thinking that a nanny was a bad idea. The experience indicates that the child's cry stops after the parents have left. But it may feel better for you to call me after leaving a crying child, just to be sure that everything is ok.
 

Good relationships
That the child sees that the parents are safe with me can make it easier to accept that the parents are leaving. Send an email or call me if you are dissatisfied with something I do. Dont talk about this over the heads of the children either here or at home as this can make the children unsafe. Even though the children are small, they get very much.

Termination of care 

Termination of the care takes place by the end of the month. The notice period is 2 months.
